Football, Food and Friends - Part One
Welcome to Sunday! My day today will consist of football, food and friends. Although, sadly, they're not showing the Green Bay Packers out here today. I lived in Titletown for about nine years, so I'm a big fan. I was working at a tv station there when the Packers went back to the Super Bowl. It was insane! My best friends from college have season tickets (which are impossible to get, there's like a 50 year waiting list) so I've been to Lambeau Field several times. It's an *amazing* experience. My boss also gave me tickets one time to the station's skybox which was totally cool. A great spread of food and free beer. I also received tickets from work once to go to a game vs. Tampa where I sat in row 2. Faith Hill sang the national anthem that day and she walked right by me. I shouted, "We love you Faith!" and she waved at me. Love her, love her cute husband Tim McGraw!!!
My roommate TJ and I went out last night when he got home from work. We started by taking a walk down to the river and hit one of our favorite places, Newport Bay:

Isn't it pretty! The sun was just setting, so we decided to stop for a cocktail and a little snack:

No, those aren't chunky martinis, they're actually shrimp cocktail with avocado, salsa and roma tomatoes. Delish!
In the hopes he'd find something else to ride later in the evening, TJ got a little practice in along the River Walk:

OK, he's gonna kill me for that one, but I just had to do it.
