Football, Food and Friends - Part Two

OK, the Packers won, so that's a good thing - they haven't been doing well so far. Unfortunately, the Seahawks lost to the Vikings. Well, I've been busy cleaning the hovel (that's what I call the condo when it gets dirty.)

Now it's clean and we just finished dinner - yes, the stuffed baked pumpkins turned out to be quite a delicious treat. TJ's coworker, our friend Andi, came over to share the autumn bounty:
All right, back to last night's festivities. After stopping at home for a quick shower and cocktail, TJ and I high-tailed it to Scandals to visit our favorite bar-wench, Patrick:
If he wasn't so darned cute that rude gesture would really piss me off! We sat outside and talked to a nice guy we met, Roman... or was it Peter? He wasn't quite sure so neither were we:

Scandals is a neighborhood-type bar, sort of a sit and chat type of place. From there we went to Boxxes which is a little more revved up. We saw our favorite adorable bartender, Dan:

We also saw our good friend Heather. She works the door at times, and calls bingo on Sundays which is really fun! All in all, it was a pretty fun night, which you can't always say about the gay bars in Portland. They tend to be a bit on the boring side. The boys here are not necessarily the biggest partiers. And, it takes a really long time to get to know people. I'm originally from the Midwest, and when you go out there it takes 5 minutes and you have a whole group of people to hang out with. Not so here. Luckily, we've found a handful of people to talk with and who like to have a good time. Well, I'm going to go enjoy a few cocktails and watch Amazing Race and the Desperate House-Bitches.
