Job Hunt

This is the lovely skyline of Minneapolis, Minnesota. A few weeks ago I flew there for an interview at a tv station. Now, when I went to college in Wisconsin, there was a station that everyone wanted to work at someday in the Twin Cities, and that was where I went to interview. It was a two day process and I met with about 20-25 people while I was there. It went great and I was really hoping for an offer. I flew back home, I'm waiting for the big call and it finally comes. But, instead of an offer, it was the news that the corporation that owns the station initiated a hiring freeze. It sounded like they were interested in me because the guy said if I had any other offers to let them know. Oh, did I mention that the day I received this news was my 35th birthday? Fun! So, I immediately went and bought a *big* bottle of vodka. I was really disappointed because after the fiasco of my last job, I really wasn't sure I wanted to stay in tv at all. I'm still not sure I want to, so the news of the hiring freeze didn't help. Oh well, you gotta just keep on trying!
