Take a Hike!

It was an incredibly beautiful fall day here in Portland, Oregon. TJ has Mondays and Tuesdays off so we decided to do a little hiking this afternoon. Our first stop was the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. We went here in the spring and the blooms were beautiful, but today it was also very pretty. The air was very cool and crisp, like everytime you blinked you could freeze an image in your mind. There was a kind of creepy guy wandering around who looked like the unabomber. Hooded sweatshirt, big sunglasses. He made me nervous because he came right toward TJ and I. I pointed my camera at him in case he pulled out a gun or knife. Seriously, he was that creepy. Anyway, he moved on and I snapped up a bunch of great shots.

I love how the leaves framed the shining sun.

Some colorful leaves rustle in the breeze as a duck glides by in the shadows of the pines.

There were a ton of ducks and geese, and they're very used to peoople. TJ posed for me next to this very unusal pine tree.
