Trick or Freak

Happy Halloweiner. TJ and I decided to go in search of some noon-time freaks. We were not having a lot of luck so we walked down to Stark Street, the home to several of Portland's gay bars, certain we'd run into a freak or two down there. We were getting ready to give up and head to another part of town when we ran into exactly what we were looking for. I could smell the booze from a mile away!

This vampire-like creature is better known as one of our favorite bartenders, Mark. He was feeling a little tragic in the bright sun, so he did his best to hide his bloodshot eyes.

These two cuties went slinking back into darker realms so we meandered on, only to stumble across the Traveling Wilburys.

The guy with the guitar was really cute. They wanted $5 a song, we gave them 50 cents and I asked for a good chord. From there we headed down to Pioneer Courthouse Square, also known as Portland's living room, where TJ had an other-worldly experience.

Freaktar, from the planet Gayaltazar, wanted TJ to be their new leader, but he decided to stay here. Also in the square, a cute lil' sailor who reminded me of my Halloween Treat from long ago.

That's all for now. I'll be on freak patrol throughout the day. Have fun and play safe!
