Here Comes the Rain Again

Ugghh, thank goodness I got out into the sun yesterday. It is nastier than ever today. The rain, the wind. I felt like Dorothy when I went out today, about to be sucked up into the sky. And, they say an even worse storm could be coming Sunday.

These giant umbrellas are just what's needed. I was really bummed it was so nasty. The Japanese Garden had free admission today so people could see the fall colors, and I was looking forward to going. But, it was just too nasty. It's too difficult trying to balance your umbrella and keep your camera from getting wet when it's this rainy.

The one bright spot, a colorful red umbrella and some pretty flowers. Dinner with the ex went fine last night. I made a delicious meal and he stayed to watch Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy and the re-run of Desperate Bitches. He gave me a mini digital camera for my birthday that he forgot to give me last week. I tried it out, but I was moving too much in the wind and rain so the pics came out kinda blurry. It will be cool to use if you're going rock climbing or you're on the beach and don't want to risk your other camera. He's also letting me borrow a digital camera he got for Christmas a couple years ago. It's been sitting in the box ever since. It's a nice camera, probably better than the one I'm using now. The ex wants to blow up some of my pics to decorate the walls in his new place. So, I want to use the other camera and see which pictures come out the best. Well, that's all for now. It will probably be a quiet weekend here. Hope you all have a safe and fun one!
