Crazy!
Well, I've been trying to get some Christmas stuff done, and in the middle of it all the job hunt is getting interesting. After waiting for a couple of months, I finally received an offer today from Minneapolis. It's not exactly what I wanted, but it's a pretty good offer. In the meantime, I was going to write today about my interview that happened this week.

So, I'm going to wait until next week and then I'll be trying to orchestrate the best deal I can. My mid-life crisis may be rounding the bend, just in time for the New Year!
I was very lucky, as I flew through Denver on my way to Florida, just one day before Denver was snowed in and all flights cancelled in and out. It was clear as a bell when I flew through the Mile High City - this plane was landing right alongside mine. I flew through Chicago on the way home, and while my final leg back to Portland was a couple of hours behind, at least I did not get stuck in an airport.
Unfortunately, I didn't really have time to explore or take a lot of pictures as the interview took up most of my time on the ground. But, I did get a few shots. I went for a walk around my hotel early in the morning and found this tree. I love spanish moss.

This job opportunity is in much warmer climes, Florida. I think the interview went very well, and I really liked what I saw. While there's no snow here in Portland, it is still cooler now at Christmastime, usually hovering right around 40. I've never been anywhere tropical during the holidays, and it was a balmy 66 degrees when I landed.
So, it was fun seeing traditional Christmas trees right next to the palm trees. I rented this fun, orange car while I was there.
Hope you all had a good week. Christmas is just around the corner, and it looks like some big changes for me are in store!

Hey Jeremy-
Central Florida it is! Where did you live in Florida? I could use some pointers if I get this job!
