A Sunny Sunday

It's a sunny Sunday in Portland, Oregon. Hi all! I survived last night's boozing and woke up this morning sans hangover. There is also figure skating on tv right now, so that also helps my mood. This is a Roy Lichtenstein called "Brushstrokes" outside of the Portland Art Museum. It's hard to get a good shot of it because it is very tall, but this one turned out ok. I decided to quit while I was ahead last night and post what I could, but there are still a few more pictures from yesterday that I wanted to share, so here goes.

This skull-dude was doing magic tricks. He kind of scared me. I was glad to see this couple occupying his time, so he didn't try to come after me. I think it would have given me nightmares! All of the pictures so far were taken downtown and at the Saturday Market. From there I decided to head down to the river.

The sun was shining, and the guys were out:

This cutie was walking his dog.

Then, I heard a very loud rumbling and saw this hunky guy checking out this scene:

The Shriners were having a Harley Ride through downtown. Hot. And so was a very fine officer of the law who was directing traffic:

A couple of guys were stringing lights on their boat. Every year there are Christmas Ship Parades on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. It's fun to watch, and you can usually find a restaurant serving hot toddys to watch from.

That was about it for my adventure. I took this picture of Mount Hood, which was very visible and snowcapped and lovely...

...and jumped on the Streetcar and headed home. Hope you all had a great weekend!
