2007 - Day One

Well, I've sufficiently recovered from last night's festivities. Actually, it was a very low-key New Year. TJ was not feeling well and was asleep by 10pm. So, I drank a bottle of wine and moved on to vodka by 11. Watched Dick Clark (poor guy kind of messed up the countdown) and laughed when Christina Aguilera looked like she wanted to barf when Ryan Seacrest wanted to kiss her. The ex had an engagement already booked, which happened to be a couple of blocks from where I live. So, I had just gotten a late night call from my best friend/soul mate from Wisconsin when he got here shortly after midnight, along with a bottle of champagne. So, we drank that, then decided to go over to his place so we wouldn't wake up TJ. Between the wine, vodka and champers I was feeling no pain. A few months ago if you told me I would spend Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years with my ex-boyfriend I would have told you to quit smoking so much crack. But, hey, I guess it's just one of those "you never know what the future holds" sort of things.I'm hoping 2007 will be full of new opportunities. 2006 was a very interesting year, and I definitely learned some things about life and myself.
