Exercise Your Rights

Don't forget to take the time to vote today. It's a valuable right as an American, and as we've seen in the last few elections every vote really does count. It will be interesting to see if the Democrats can take control of the House and Senate. I will also be waiting to find out what happens with the gay marriage amendments, especially in my home state of Wisconsin. The vote has been very close there and it might actually be the first state where a ban on gay marriage fails. If anyone is reading from Wisconsin - please, go vote and call and remind your friends and family to go vote. It's time to turn the tide on these discriminatory amendments. My Mom was very sweet when I talked to her last weekend and said both she and my father would be voting against it. So did my best friend who lives in Brookfield. This will be the first election night since 1992 that I have not had to work as a tv journalist, so I plan to be hunkered down in front of the computer and the tv to scan for results.
